FIRST DEGREE Training Time = minimum 48 months
- -Cho Dan
- -Certified Cho Dan minimum 4-8 months from receipt of black belt
- -Certified Assistant Instructor Cho Dan
SECOND DEGREE Training Time = minimum 24 months from last test

- -Cerfified Assistant Instructor E Dan
Assistant Instructors must assist a minimum of two (2) hours a week to achieve Instructor Rank

Training times and grades listed above are to be used only as a guideline, and for those members that train on a 3-4 times weekly schedule.
All Black Belts ranked at the age of 15 years or younger will be ranked "JG", Junior Grade Black Belt. At the age of 16 years they will be re-certified at their current full rank.
The title of " Chief Instructor " is given to the head instructor of a school or studio. This title is appointed by the TEMAS Founding Master.
